JOB INTERVIEWS:- it’s all about you

Yesterday I was recruiting a few people for a US based company Read-INK. It was my first experience on the other side of the table. I went like a boss and everyone waved and stuff like that when I came to their office (lols don't say you would not be happy about it). But I went to the interview room and was sitting there with the CEO and talking about what she s very specific about. Because she had dine this multiple times but couldn't find the right candidate so she made me in charge for some reasons which is a secret :p.

I realized something with this new identity. I was thinking about what I might be do at the same point of time if  it was me who was being interviewed .At the same time I also realized how awesome it was to take a interview and get to meet people. we all know none of those certificates that come in can be believed. But no interview guy comes prepared to screw your happiness but it’s just the outcome that is very common. The reason is very simple.

Don’t Bullshit:- When you are asked some question don’t dive into your technical database. Talk openly and not worry about the outcome.End of the day think about it as networking with new people and share your experiences.

Answer everything:- you know it or not just answer every question with whatever you know on that topic. If you are not sure just start the sentence with “It’s a general perception that…”  Or  “According to me…” "I believe.."  something like that. It will make sure that you know something but not everything on the topic, even if you don’t know anything. IF the interviewer is cool he might actually like you for giving the wrong answer like a Boss

Fake your experience:- we were looking for someone who will stay with the company for long time. One guy comes in and says he has two years’ experience in his work. And we check the resume and there’s 3 companies where he has worked for. Right there what we feel is that he s not the kind we are looking because he might leave in a few months like he did with other companies. So if you have two years’ experience that s good enough don’t add more fake company names which will reduce your chances of getting the job than increasing it.

Communicate:- End of the day it all comes down to communication. If you have a very good hold on your English and are very good in making friend s then interviews are just another walk in the park for you. Just be yourself and don’t act like a very silent waste fuck in a interviews. Nobody see s your face and give you a job, of course Girls are exceptions :p , NOT YOU. Everyone want s their team to be fun than filled with silent waste people

Dress Up;- I said be yourself doesn’t mean you come to the interview in your 3/4ths and all. There s no need of coming with complete formals and stuff. You can come in jeans or whatever but come with a  formal shirt at least, You will look a little human and so it will be better.

I have been to two interviews so far and both places I got the job. This is what I feel and this is what will work. About whom we recruited-> He was technically sound but had a very good hold on English. He dint hide anything and we felt he s what we want :). . Also he later we got to know he was a graffiti artist and a photographer, Now that what we call a Bonus. Also before doing all these get a grasp of how cool the interviewer is or else you are dead bro :p
