Actors job is said to be the best and they live a carefree life as they are famous. Everything that they say matters and everyone loves them.But the reality is for every actor they have seen the worst of their days where they had to struggle to find a role and act for free on many projects and at the same time feed their hunger. I have met people having a tea in the morning and a loaf of bread in the evening just so that they can pay their monthly rents even though they have already acted in 4-5 films in small roles. Being a actor is a tough job than what it looks from outside. As I am into direction I see lot of people like this everyday and at the same time see the filthy rich shrug them away and easily land the roles. Artists are treated like this for a long time but never has a actor cried foul once he has become famous because he knows how the struggle made him a better person. If you don't struggle in the beginning you will never learn and you will soon fall on your face when reality is in front of you.







So before you criticize any actor think about it for a while on how much hard work he might have done and the struggle he might have gone through, don't get personal with them because it really hurts them a lot as they wanted to do a project and make sure it is value for money. No actor wants to do a boring film (except the famous ones who call it art for no reason).A simple to them and they will be your best friends for the day*.

I have worked with so many actors in my advertising journey and will be doing the same going forward and I make sure that I keep in touch with all of them because I salute their courage, we never risked our lives like they did and this field there is no surety on what their future transpires into. unsuccessful ones are still struggling to make ends meet whom you might have already met but dint recognize.



I write this on the birthday of one of the great actors and directors of India who stayed honest to his profession in his short life. Not many know on the struggles he might have gone through but the success he got all over India with Malgudi Days
